Many infants experience chango (gas in the stomach, crying without clear reason, difficulty sleeping) — a condition caused by a digestive system that is not yet fully mature.
✍️ Instead of using strong medicine, you can use lemongrass leaves (mvumbasi) as a natural and gentle remedy.
👇 How to use:
🏵️ For children under 6 months:
👉 Boil a few lemongrass leaves in water.
👉 Let the water cool until it is lukewarm.
👉 Dip a clean cloth into the water, then gently wipe the baby’s stomach in a clockwise direction.
➡️ This helps reduce gas and soothe the baby.
🏵️ For children over 6 months:
👉 Boil a few lemongrass leaves in a cup of water.
👉 Let it cool completely and strain it.
👉 Give the child 1 teaspoon, once a day for a few days.
⚠️ Precautions:
☃️ Use only a small amount; lemongrass is strong.
☃️ Do not use for children who have diarrhea or vomiting — take them to the hospital.
☃️ Make sure the leaves are clean and free from pesticides.
